Sundry Sunday :: my urban dictionary: fictional conditioning

23 Mar

Def.: At least being tempted to respond to something as a fictional character might, because you’ve heard/seen/read/etc. it done enough times.

Usage: One of my well-meaning coworkers politely addressed me as “little lady” the other day, and though it didn’t bother me (it was done in a friendly manner, not a patronizing one) it still took some effort to ignore my fictional conditioning regarding such things.

–your fangirl heroine.
