Def.: When, consciously or unconsciously, you imitate people you have been recently exposed to to some degree; can take many forms, and can apply to real people you know, real people you see in the media, fictional characters, or some combination.

Usage: My most commonly practiced form of motivated mimicry is how after watching television shows with British people on them, I often accidentally pronounce at least a few certain words with a British accent or half of a British accent.
