Sundry Sunday :: my urban dictionary: fanticipation

19 Aug

Def.: Enthusiastically waiting for particular fandom events (often the release or premiere of something, i.e. a book, episode, movie, album), often with words like “intense longing” attached.

Usage:  Usually I wait a couple of days to watch the week’s new episode of True Blood, but watching it tonight, close to realtime, means that my entire week will be filled with fanticipation instead of just a few days.

See also: fan relief (n.), fangasm (n.), fanniversary (n.), so what a lot of these are fandom/fan-related words deal.

–your fangirl heroine.
