Fashion Friday :: it was only a matter of time before hipstermodernity came to the rest of Westeros.

3 Aug

I just really get a kick out of nowstyling for characters who live in decidedly not nowstyled worlds, all right?  And since I’ve already done three rounds of semi-hippie/hipster college Daenerys, I figured it’s only fair I do semi-something/hipster for the other Game of Thrones women.  Starting with Cersei (Lena Headey) because she may be diabolical and whatnot, but she is fierce and styling for fierceness is fun.  Cersei I’m deeming more semi-businesswoman/hipster, and I don’t even know what’s going on but it makes sense in my head.

Beginning with a dress of an appropriate color.  Definitely hinting toward my beloved Mad Men silhouette, but she’s Cersei, she can twist that all to hell and it will be fabulous.  Lady Love Song Dress in Mauve, ModCloth.

But isn’t this perfect?  Scalloped Corset Belt, Anthropologie.

I will admit, I’m insane and fell in love with these ridiculous shoes from the moment I saw them.  And I figure Cersei is fierce enough to pull them off.  Tiptoe Glow Heel, ModCloth.

…so okay, this necklace is nearly $200 and normally I wouldn’t include things that exorbitantly priced.  But it is actually called “Hear Me Roar.”  Like, that’s the necklace’s (and the matching ring and earrings) title.  I couldn’t not.  Oh, and it’s by Jenny Bird.
