Def.: Amending something ordinary for the purposes of amusing oneself; best done in a group. Tends to be more fun the more detailed you get. Tends to pertain to turning something ordinary into something related to a particular fictional canon of your choosing.
Usage: We couldn’t help but partake in some recreational revisionism when it was observed that the mom on the front of the game of Life had a crazy smile like she was using too much lithium; taking crayons and paper to the front of the box in order to make the scene represent the characters in Next to Normal (i.e. adding cartoon pill bottles and appropriate warning labels and also coloring over the son with a white crayon so as to make him look ghostly) was more fun than the actual game.
