Fashion Friday :: well, everyone was certainly talking about it.

6 Apr

Megan Calvet-now-Draper (Jessica Paré) had a moment or made a splash or something in the season five Mad Men premiere when she threw Don (Jon Hamm) a big giant surprise party and further surprised him with a song and dance number.  I’ve mentioned it, too, because it was decidedly… something.  I still don’t know how I feel about Megan, exactly; I don’t have any reason to dislike her, and I think she’s a good person, but I don’t exactly have a whole bunch of warm fuzzies yet, either.  But had moments or made splashes do require fashion recreations, don’t they?

Three reasonable ModCloth substitutions, all of which are currently out of stock.  (Coincidence?  I don’t know.  Probably.  But still.)  Chiroptera Cutie Dress, Neo Noir Dress, Corner Booth Charmer Dress.

How many black ModCloth pumps will I find an eventual use for?  Probably all of them.  I’m Pumped Heel.

And this is currently out of stock, too, but hey.  Since Megan’s dress in the show had a beaded neckline, I figured there should be some substitute, somehow.  Intertwine and Shine Necklace, ModCloth.

Even the eye shadow is out of stock, but it’s ModCloth, it very well could be back in production soon.  So.  Normally, I don’t throw makeup in, but it’s such a part of Megan’s statementy 1960s sort-of-mod-retro-hipster thing that I feel compelled.  Eyedust in Nymph.
